Position: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (Part-time, Temporary)

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne

Salary: £450 per week (dependent on experience and/or qualifications)

About the Role

A contemporary Primary School in Newcastle is seeking to appoint a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to a Year 5 student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The Senior Leadership team is dedicated to ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education while recognizing their unique achievements and fostering a safe and supportive environment.

This position is morning-only, with working hours from 08:30 to 12:30.


Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
  • The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • A calm and approachable demeanor.
