Lead Sales Solutions Engineer

Position Overview: As a key representative of the sales team, you will engage directly with clients, collaborating closely with Account Managers and Directors to focus on designated accounts across the Western region, including various European countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical assessments and create comprehensive proposals, including optical transmission network designs and cost estimates.
- Effectively communicate technical solutions to clients while nurturing ongoing technical relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to influence product development and relay customer insights to product management.
- Engage in network and application engineering for MBR Partners' offerings.
- Partner with customer engineering teams to devise optical network solutions utilizing cutting-edge fiber optics and high-capacity technologies.
- Possess a solid understanding of Routing and Switching to identify potential opportunities.
- Facilitate the technical introduction of innovative products and concepts to clients.
- Analyze customer technical requirements, propose network architecture solutions, and respond to RFIs, RFPs, and other inquiries.
- Provide technical expertise to bolster sales efforts related to transmission, switching, data products, and SDN management systems.
- Develop intricate network designs for clients using optical networking technologies.
- Utilize network design and modeling tools proficiently.
- Ensure timely and accurate generation of quotes, proposals, and detailed equipment lists.
- Collaborate with the sales team and product management to propose enhancements that align with customer needs.
- Translate high-level customer requirements into actionable system requirements.
- Continuously enhance technical knowledge, product expertise, and sales skills through ongoing training.
- Understand competitive offerings and articulate the technical advantages of MBR Partners' solutions.
- Act as a primary technical resource for customer-related inquiries.
- Serve as the first point of contact for assigned sales opportunities.
- Travel requirements are minimal, less than 20%.
Required Skills:
- Extensive technical knowledge of core optical networking, including DWDM, ROADM, and high-capacity transmission technologies.
- Familiarity with data networking principles, including IP/Ethernet and related protocols.
- Knowledge of Software Defined Networking and network orchestration is advantageous.
- Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience mentoring other Systems Engineers.
- Ability to accurately respond to RFPs and communicate technical quotations.
- General proficiency with computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
- Adaptable and capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal oversight.
Desired Characteristics:

- Demonstrated leadership in technical sales initiatives.
- Ability to comprehend customer needs and leverage technical expertise to craft tailored solutions.
- Proficient in building and maintaining customer relationships.

- Technical degree, preferably BSEE or equivalent, with experience in optical networking.
- Previous experience in Systems or Sales Engineering is a plus.
- Experience as a contributor on a sales account team is beneficial.
