Job Opportunity:

CK Group is seeking a highly skilled Production Director to lead our manufacturing team and oversee production activities at our site in Cambridge. This is a permanent position that will play a key role in driving excellence in our Production Department.

About the Role:

As a Production Director, you will be responsible for developing and implementing production strategies to meet client demands and business objectives. You will act as a primary point of contact during internal and external audits and play a key role in facility design, capital projects, commissioning, and validation. You will also lead and manage a cross-functional team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement production strategies to meet client demands and business objectives
  • Act as a production primary point of contact during internal and external audits
  • Play a key role in facility design, capital projects, commissioning, and validation
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team providing guidance, training, and mentorship
  • Implement effective working practices, including shift systems
  • Oversee scheduling of staff and facilities to ensure uninterrupted manufacture and supply of ATMPs, and ensure all areas associated with manufacturing are compliant with UK Regulatory

Requirements:

  • Degree in a Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or equivalent
  • Expertise in GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and proven experience in production management, ideally within a CDMO cell therapy setting
  • Proven track record of scaling up/scaling out of ATMP manufacturing processes
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Understanding and experience of aseptic processing and cleanroom technologies
