About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Fixed Income and FX Trader to join our Investment Management Trading team in London. As a key member of our centralised trading team, you will be responsible for executing orders across a broad range of Fixed Income assets and demonstrating a proven ability to analyse execution outcomes and optimise trading strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Timely and accurate execution of Fixed Income and FX securities across various markets, with a particular focus on Emerging Markets, while adhering to Best Execution principles.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Emerging Markets Fixed Income & FX market, including liquidity and pricing, across several regions and assets, disseminating relevant information to the Investment Management team.
  • Provide Investment Managers with ongoing information about market conditions, sentiment, trading volumes and price movements, including investment opportunities that may arise.
  • Utilising market insights and quantitative analysis to inform trade execution strategies, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of market trends, economic indicators and geopolitical events impacting Fixed Income and FX markets. Developing and implementing trading strategies that capitalise on market opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Develop and maintain Broker/Client relationships with approved counterparties across a number of asset classes.
  • Analyse and evaluate execution outcomes, employing data-driven methodologies to optimise client outcomes.
  • Continuously refine processes to enhance efficiency and cost effectiveness, collaborating closely with Investment Managers and other internal stakeholders to align trading strategies with investment objectives.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes affecting Fixed Income and FX trading.
  • Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations and internal policies, maintaining the highest standards of Best Execution.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with proven experience of execution in Emerging Markets Fixed Income assets across a range of currencies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of market structure and procedures for executing Fixed Income Securities and FX, utilising protocols including voice and electronic automation.
  • Knowledge of factors that influence price trends and impact market conditions.
  • Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to trading and strategy development.
  • Excellent communication skills, to articulate complex market concepts to stakeholders and enhance business relationships.
  • In-depth understanding of FCA Rules relating to Trading.
  • Proven experience identifying market opportunities and risks, leveraging data to drive decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb, FXALL, and BlackRock Aladdin desirable.
  • A flexible approach to work and ability to contribute constructively to a team.
