Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced pediatric nurse to join our Specialist Care Team at The Ark, our state-of-the-art children's hospice building in Barnet. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert care to children who are staying with us at The Ark and those visiting us for day care. You will also support children in their family homes and in community-settings, providing families with choice and flexibility.
Main Responsibilities- Care for children who are staying with us at The Ark and those visiting us for day care
- Support children in their family homes and in community-settings
- Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to children and their families
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each child
- Provide education and support to families on palliative care and symptom management
We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate pediatric nurse who is passionate about providing high-quality care to children and their families. You will have a strong background in pediatric palliative care and experience working with children with life-limiting, life-threatening, or complex medical needs. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
Requirements- Registered Sick Children Nurse or Registered Nurse Child Branch
- Relevant post-qualification experience at staff nurse band 5 level
- Teaching qualification (e.g. Mentorship SSSA or equivalent) or willingness to undertake
- Experience in supporting students on placement as a practice supervisor or practice assessor
