Financial Controller (Nordics) Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Financial Controller to join our team in the Nordic region. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts, year-end accounts, and statutory reporting. You will also lead on financial aspects of strategic projects aimed at achieving growth and contribute to the financial planning and strategic growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for the preparation and production of the consolidated division's accounts.
  • Preparation and consolidation of the monthly board packs.
  • Lead to project to build new more informative Monthly Group MI.
  • Lead on the financial aspects of any strategic projects aimed at achieving growth of the organization.
  • Be fully conversant with new initiatives, new legislation, and modern thinking in all matters relating to financial management.
  • Plan and prepare financial management documents, including financial plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Plan, implement, and develop the Finance Team operating procedures.
  • Ensure that all company financial systems are robust, compliant, and support current activities and future growth.
  • Responsibility for the group budgeting process, including the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies.
  • Ensure that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
  • Manage finance function and team.
  • Principal point of contact for external auditors and Banks.
Requirements
  • Qualified member of an accountancy body or holder of an equivalent qualification.
  • Thorough experience of invoice finance.
  • Commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, and dynamic with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
  • High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
  • Energetic, highly motivated, with a passion for excellence and innovation in pursuit of business growth and success.
