Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. As a key member of our Mental Health Support Team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people in Devon.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide emotional and mental health assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. You will also work collaboratively with other professionals across agencies in health, social care, and education to meet the needs of children and young people.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing emotional and mental health assessments and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and young people.
  • Working collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Providing support to schools and communities to develop and build on their whole-school approach to mental health.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Training in an evidence-based therapeutic approach.
  • Experience of engaging and working with children, young people, and families with mental health needs.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other professionals across agencies.
