Psychology Graduate - SEN School Support

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Psychology graduates to join a vibrant Special Educational Needs (SEN) school based in Halton.

About the Role:
  • Location: Halton (easily commutable from surrounding areas)
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Position: Full-time, long-term placement with potential for permanent roles

This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your psychology knowledge in a real-world setting, supporting children with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with diverse learning needs
  • Help develop individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists to deliver specialised interventions
Requirements:
  • A Psychology degree (or equivalent)
  • A passion for supporting children with SEN
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude
  • Previous experience working with young people or in an educational setting is a plus, but not essential

To be considered for this position, you will need to have a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work). You will also need to have satisfactory references and the legal right to work in the UK.
