Job Overview

Position: Facilities Operations Coordinator
Location: Various sites within the Castlebrae area

Compensation: £23,000 - £23,000 (pro-rata for part-time)
Work Schedule: Casual

We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Operations Coordinator to join our Facilities Management team at the City of Edinburgh Council. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential janitorial services across our facilities, ensuring that our properties remain safe and welcoming environments for all users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily facilities management, janitorial, and maintenance tasks across multiple locations.
  • Conduct minor repairs and general upkeep to ensure a clean and functional environment.
  • Assist with reactive cleaning and support relocations as needed.
  • Implement basic security measures to safeguard premises and grounds.
  • Maintain outdoor areas and ensure cleanliness.

This position involves regulated work with children and/or vulnerable adults, and the selected candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Additionally, if you have lived outside the UK for a continuous period of three months or more in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be necessary.
