Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Powertrain Development Engineer to join our team at CV Library. As a key member of our powertrain development team, you will be responsible for delivering air, fuel, and exhaust development and validation testing in accordance with component and vehicle development plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with the design team to define component and system targets
  2. Develop and maintain test procedures to ensure efficient and effective testing
  3. Own the development and validation of components, systems, and vehicles, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards
  4. Plan and execute mechanical development and performance development testing, including supplier validation and integrity of supplier DVP
  5. Lead problem-solving investigations and provide solutions to development programme issues
  6. Work closely with build teams to ensure optimized instrumentation layout and requirements
  7. Collaborate with virtual validation teams to guide analysis and correlation to test results
  8. Analyze and interpret physical test results to validate design function and optimize current test procedures and data analysis tools
  9. Develop close working relationships with external partners and collaborate with calibration teams to ensure correct and reliable performance
  10. Support PT Systems S.T Team as an active member

Requirements:

  1. Extensive experience in hands-on powertrain testing and development roles
  2. Proven track record of failure investigations and problem-solving
  3. Experience in managing and developing external engineering resources
  4. Ability to drive optimization through analysis and collaboration with design and simulation teams
  5. Strong working relationships with functional teams to deliver viable design solutions
  6. Experience in managing concern resolution and working within an OEM environment
  7. Prior experience in testing budget and timing management
  8. Italian language skills
  9. Industry standard dyno and vehicle validation procedures
  10. Astute project control, including resource planning, timing, milestones, and meeting disciplines
  11. Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification, with a strong background in powertrain development
  12. Industry-related courses, such as HV electrification safety awareness
