About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Trust is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Cancer Centre Multi-Disciplinary Service (MDT) team as a Cancer MDT Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and busy non-patient-facing role, supporting the delivery of high-quality cancer services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the MDT team, including data entry, report writing, and coordination of patient pathways.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to improve service delivery and compliance.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Person Specification

  • Good standard of secondary education with literacy and numeracy skills demonstrable to GSCE pass level or equivalent standard.
  • Administrative and organisational experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and hospital computerised patient systems.
