About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment, supporting a variety of specialist materials projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and manufacturing support in a variety of interesting projects linked to the Royce Institute activities within the High temperature, Corrosion and Erosion centre.
  • Support researchers, students and external clients in wide ranging, interesting and challenging projects.
  • Become fully responsible for the operation, maintenance, safe working and standard operating procedures of specialized equipment and laboratory areas.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a BTEC Level 3 advanced Apprenticeship completion in a relevant discipline and/or significant experience. You will also need to be a self-motivated, proactive person with a calm approach to challenges.

Ideal Skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • A good working knowledge of health and safety
  • The ability to learn quickly
  • Significant working experience in a Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline
