About the Opportunity

The University of the Arts London's (UAL) Fashion, Textiles & Technology Institute (FTTI) is seeking an experienced postdoctoral research fellow to join a multidisciplinary research project, Back to Baselines. This project aims to establish comprehensive, scientifically validated, and well-evidenced environmental and design baselines, standards, and principles for the Fashion & Textiles industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Principal Co-Investigator in mapping Fashion, Textiles, and Technology Innovation, investment, and evaluation tools to inform sustainable decision-making across the UK and beyond.
  • Connect with and build relationships across connected and complementary networks funded by UKRI and NERC to better align the notion of innovation in sustainability.
  • Contribute to the delivery of research activities, data analysis, and reporting, as well as project management skills to help plan and deliver research projects.
  • Support the development and production of co-designed resources or interventions, such as videos, tools, guidance, or training materials.
About You

The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge and experience working with qualitative, quantitative, and participatory research methods, including the delivery of workshops. They will need excellent organisational skills to coordinate and contribute to the delivery of research activities, data analysis, and reporting. Skills and interests in sustainability in the fashion, textiles, and technology industry are essential.
