Critical Care/ICU Nurse Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care/ICU Nurse to join our team at Nuffield Health Barts Hospital. As a Critical Care/ICU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in our intensive care unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and manage patient's vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering blood transfusions, and performing chest compressions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
- Registered with the appropriate governing body, including NMC.
- Post-registration experience in critical care or ICU nursing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
