SEMH Support Assistant for KS3-KS4

They are in search of a dedicated professional who has experience in managing students with complex behavioral needs. This position involves providing individualized support to a student in KS3-KS4, ensuring they remain engaged with the educational tasks assigned by the teacher while effectively managing their behavior.

The institution's mission is to create a customized and supportive environment for children who struggle in mainstream educational settings, focusing on enhancing their academic performance while prioritizing their social, emotional, and mental health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Location: Portsmouth, Hampshire
  • Position: SEMH Support Assistant for KS3-KS4
  • Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent
  • Work Schedule: Full-time/Part-time
  • Compensation: £14.72 per hour

Qualifications Required:

  • Possess a current and clear DBS or be willing to apply for one.
  • Demonstrate excellence in practice and a commitment to understanding the needs of students.
  • Exhibit initiative in building professional relationships and collaborating with colleagues.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm for the role.
  • Show confidence in managing challenging behaviors.

  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Provide an updated CV with two relevant references from the past two years.
  • Have a DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
