This position involves providing one-on-one support to a student in Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring they remain engaged with the curriculum set by the teacher while effectively managing their behavior.
The institution's mission is to create a customized and supportive environment for children who struggle in mainstream education, focusing on enhancing their academic journey while prioritizing their social, emotional, and mental well-being. The school boasts a welcoming atmosphere and a team of exceptional staff. Regular documentation of the student's progress is essential, along with collaboration with the teacher to review and update the student's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Position Overview:
• Role - SEMH Support Assistant for KS3-KS4
• Employment Type - Temp to Perm
• Availability - Full-time/Part-time
• Compensation - £14.72 per hour
Candidate Requirements:
• Must possess a current and clear DBS or be willing to apply for one
• Demonstrated ability to understand and support students effectively
• Capable of fostering positive professional relationships and collaborating with colleagues
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude towards the role
• Confident in managing students with challenging behaviors
