About the Role

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as Director of Renewable Energy Expansion. As a key member of our Executive Committee, you will be responsible for developing and delivering technology strategies for expanding our European footprint in line with our strategic objectives to accelerate growth, optimise value and achieve a just transition to net zero.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement technology strategies to drive growth and expansion in the European market.
  • Oversee the origination, development, construction, delivery, and operation of renewable energy assets in Europe.
  • Manage P&L and ensure the commercial success of our European operations.
  • Lead a team of circa 100 staff, contractors, and specialist consultants working within the technologies.
  • Drive operational safety, health, and wellbeing performance and embed a safety-first culture.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the renewables industry within European markets, including an understanding of wind, solar, and battery technologies.
  • Experience of working in or supporting high-value, complex capital projects, including deep understanding of the commercial value drivers of operational services.
  • Strong people leadership skills and significant experience in leading teams, projects, and programmes.
  • Experience in negotiations and excellent stakeholder management skills to drive delivery and ensure investments are fully optimised to deliver value.
  • A growth mindset, with experience of change programme, and empowering the generation of innovative ideas and opportunities.
