Job Title: Teaching Assistant SEN

GSL Education is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to work in one of our local schools in Waterlooville. This school provides highly effective education, therapy, welfare and support for children aged 5-16 with social, emotional and mental health difficulties as well as other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children's emotional wellbeing and communication skills
  • Safeguarding will be your number one priority ensuring the welfare of the pupils
  • Working with Key stage 1 and 2 aged pupils
  • Working under the guidance of a teacher supporting small groups of pupils with learning tasks

Job Specification:

  • Job role: Teaching Assistant
  • Full time 8:45am – 3:15pm (Mon – Fri)
  • £384.60 - £450 per week
  • Temporary to permanent contract
  • Location: Waterlooville

Requirements:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years
  • Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education
