Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled IFRS Accounting Specialist to join our client's team on a 12-month contract assignment. As an IFRS Accounting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the client's finance department in implementing IFRS 9 and IFRS 17.
Key Responsibilities- Provide IFRS technical accounting advice and guidance to the finance team.
- Develop technical papers and build Excel spreadsheets to perform accounting and modelling calculations.
- Support the transition execution approach and plan, covering opening balances and comparative financial statements.
- Support audit engagement requirements and respond to queries.
- Implement IT solutions, including the General Ledger, IFRS Calculation Engine, and Sub-Ledgers.
- Support the finance function in testing activity, ensuring testing issues are resolved on a timely basis.
- Analyse data inputs/outputs to/from the Calculation Engine and General Ledger, ensuring outputs meet reporting requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders, including the FRC Delivery Partner, Auditors, and other internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience in providing IFRS 9 or IFRS 17 technical accounting advice and guidance.
- Practical IFRS implementation experience.
- Experience building and developing Excel models performing accounting and modelling calculations.
- Experience preparing transition accounts.
- Eligibility to obtain UK SC Clearance.
