Role Overview

The Clinical Sales Specialist (CSS) plays a crucial role in the effective management of a sales region. This position involves collaborating with Sales Representatives, Key Account Managers, and Sales Managers to support hospitals and provide technical assistance to all stakeholders within our customer network.

Moreover, the CSS will conduct tailored training sessions to ensure that Surgeons and Scrub Staff are proficient in the safe and efficient use of Zimmer Biomet products, attending surgeries as needed to offer real-time support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability of instruments and implants to align with customer operating schedules.
  • Organize and facilitate training for all hospital stakeholders (e.g., surgeons, scrub staff, healthcare assistants, sterile services staff) to guarantee the safe and effective use of Zimmer Biomet instruments and implants.
  • Act as an onsite resource within customer facilities, allowing Sales Representatives to focus on developing new business opportunities.
  • Oversee the efficient rotation of consignment stock, conducting quarterly audits and daily reorder checks.
  • Maintain instrument sets in optimal and safe working condition.
  • Remove damaged instruments and coordinate replacements in accordance with standard operating procedures.
  • Report any incidents within 48 hours of awareness.
  • Provide each account with training materials and an accurate inventory list.
  • Be prepared to work outside of standard hours when necessary.
  • Ensure that returns and in-field movements are conducted following established procedures.

Qualifications

  • Education to A-Level standard or equivalent in science-related subjects.
  • Nursing or healthcare qualification.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedic surgery.

  • Ability to adapt to various working practices as required by surgeons and hospitals while adhering to Zimmer Biomet protocols.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the product portfolio.
  • Proficient in training others effectively.
  • Understanding of technical medical terminology and anatomy to engage with surgeons and theatre staff.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Confident and engaging presentation abilities.
  • Capability to resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
