Scientist Role Overview

A vacancy has become available for a Scientist with an innovative biotech company in Oxford, working at the forefront of sequencing technology.

The Scientist role is mainly involved in the product validation team and is focused on quality control on their range of sequencing products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct laboratory experiments and data analysis to ensure product quality and integrity.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in sequencing technology.
  • Contribute to the development of new products and services.

Requirements:

  • BSc in a scientific subject and ideally some relevant laboratory experience.
  • Data analysis and/or programming skills with a keen interest to learn more.
  • The ability to work in a fast-moving environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A team player who is adaptable, can show initiative, and pick up new skills quickly.
  • Good general laboratory experience, ideally with GLP and/or GMP certification.
