Job Summary:

Vermont Public is seeking a skilled Social Media Specialist to oversee the organization's content distribution and branding efforts on various social media platforms. The ideal candidate will create engaging content and develop strategies to increase audience engagement, build awareness, and amplify key station initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement social media content strategies to align with Vermont Public's brand and goals
  • Create high-quality content for multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X, Threads, and Reddit
  • Monitor and analyze social media metrics to inform content decisions and optimize engagement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure Vermont Public remains competitive

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in social media marketing, excellent content creation skills, and the ability to work independently. A degree in journalism or media is preferred, and 2 years of professional experience is required.

What We Offer:

Vermont Public offers a competitive salary range of $58,656 to $65,832 annually, commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, salary-exempt role that offers opportunities for growth and development in a dynamic and innovative organization.
