Home Instead is seeking a dedicated Care Coordinator to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless delivery of care services to our clients.
The responsibilities include:
- Creating and managing effective schedules for clients and Care Assistants.
- Preparing schedules with consideration for travel time, holidays, training, and unexpected changes.
- Responding promptly to scheduling changes and collaborating with team members.
- Matching Care Assistants with clients in partnership with the Registered Care Director and facilitating introductions.
- Ensuring that client schedules align with their preferences, maintaining consistency with Care Assistants whenever possible.
- Building strong relationships with clients and Care Assistants to foster positive experiences.
- Collaborating with the Registered Care Director to maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Assisting in the timely resourcing and scheduling of new and existing care packages.
- Updating and maintaining client and Care Assistant information in the electronic scheduling system.
- Performing additional duties as required for the effective operation of the business.
- Adhering to Home Instead's policies on Equality, Diversity, and Equal Opportunities.
- Supporting the recruitment of Care Assistants.
- Participating in on-call duties as part of a rota.
- Providing care to clients during staff absences.
- Previous experience in a scheduling role within the home care sector is advantageous.
- Proficient in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office, with a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Resilient and positive attitude with exceptional communication skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, capable of working calmly under pressure.
- Team-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills for quick rapport building.
- Meticulous attention to detail and adept at multitasking.
- Logical and analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Possession of a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
- Experience in the care sector is preferred.
- Competitive salary with additional compensation for on-call duties and overtime.
- Full-time employment contract of 37.50 hours per week.
