Contract Type: Full-time, permanent

Full Time: 39 hours per week

Salary: £41,540.76 per annum with a potential to earn up to £44,740.76 through Ofsted and Occupancy bonuses.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager to join our team at Dove Adolescent Services. As a Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our 2-bed home, ensuring we deliver a high-quality level of care to our young people.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations, and organisational policies.
  2. Lead a team of care workers, ensuring good outcomes for young people and adherence to legislative guidelines.
  3. Keep accurate records, implement monitoring and evaluation systems, and provide management information.
  4. Develop and promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision.
  5. Attend and chair meetings, take on-call responsibilities, and write concise reports.
  6. Oversight of admissions and discharges, and ability to innovate and lead change.

Requirements:

  1. Enthusiasm for providing high-quality care and education.
  2. Experience of managing a team and comprehensive knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures.
  3. Familiarity with the needs of vulnerable individuals and ability to develop effective working relationships.
  4. Demonstrate high standards of safe working practice, emotional resilience, and respect for boundaries and authority.
  5. Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate an understanding of equal opportunities.
  6. Holds a current UK driving licence or has access to appropriate transport.
  7. Flexible and reliable, with ability to participate in management forums and contribute to work practice development.

  3. Full Occupancy Bonus - £100 per month.
  4. On Call payments - £25 weekday, £35 weekend.
  5. Petrol Allowance - Paid when using own car, proof of business insurance required.
  6. Pension - In line with organisational Pension Scheme and government guidance.

Dove Adolescent Services Ltd, established in 1993, provides residential care for young people. The successful applicant will be subject to a DBS check at enhanced level if successful for the position.
