Job Title: Service Charge Accountant

About the Role:

We are partnering with a leading Property Management company to find a skilled Service Charge Accountant to join their team in North London. As a Service Charge Accountant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the team with leasehold management and financial tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate records of leases and leasehold agreements
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies to optimize service charge income
  • Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including property owners and managers
  • Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement process enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with relevant leasehold legislation, including Section 20

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in Service Charge accounting and leasehold management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address complex financial issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and stakeholders
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently, with a high level of attention to detail

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with financial software and systems, including accounting and reporting tools
  • Knowledge of property management software and systems
  • Ability to create performance reports and implement service improvements

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 DOE
