Swansea Bay University Health Board is seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our innovative and friendly team of Podiatrists and Orthotists. This exciting opportunity will enable you to use and develop your existing podiatric diagnostic and management skills in the provision of excellent patient care.
Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for the autonomous assessment, development of treatment plans, and signposting as appropriate of a wide range of Podiatry patients with both routine and complex health problems.
Key responsibilities include effectively managing a Podiatry clinical caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in community settings and other settings as required.
The ideal candidate will also support positive behavioral changes through activation to empower self-management, use evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate podiatric interventions in the hospital and community setting, and single-handedly assess, diagnose, and develop care and treatment plans for low and high-risk patients in primary and community care settings.
Person SpecificationThe successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- BSc (Hons) Podiatry or equivalent
- HCPC registered
- LA Certificate
- Evidence of current relevant CPD
Desirable criteria include supplementary or independent prescribing, postgraduate qualifications, and registration on a Masters program.
The ideal candidate will also have postgraduate employment as a B5 or B6 Podiatrist, with experience in supervision of junior staff and delivering training.
