About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Independent Health Group. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmacy leadership and ensuring the safe and effective use of medication across all our services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pharmacy leadership and guidance to ensure medicines are effectively managed across the organisation in line with national standards, best practice, and CQC regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective policies and processes to ensure safe and effective use of medication.
  • Provide advice and support to the Medical Director, Chief Nurse, and other clinicians to ensure the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
  • Lead improvement workstreams as required.
  • Maintain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and ensure continued professional development.
  • Provide training related to medicines management as required.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree (BSc/MSc Hons).
  • Current member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
