About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Independent Health Group. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmacy leadership and ensuring the safe and effective use of medication across all our services.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide expert pharmacy leadership and guidance to ensure medicines are effectively managed across the organisation in line with national standards, best practice, and CQC regulations.
- Develop and implement effective policies and processes to ensure safe and effective use of medication.
- Provide advice and support to the Medical Director, Chief Nurse, and other clinicians to ensure the safe, appropriate, and cost-effective use of medicines.
- Ensure compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
- Lead improvement workstreams as required.
- Maintain registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and ensure continued professional development.
- Provide training related to medicines management as required.
Requirements
- Relevant degree (BSc/MSc Hons).
- Current member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
