About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pharmacist Specialist to join our team at Independent Health Group. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing expert pharmacy leadership and ensuring the safe and effective use of medication across all our services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide expert pharmacy leadership and guidance to ensure medicines are effectively managed across the organisation.
  • Develop and implement policies and processes to ensure safe and effective use of medication.
  • Provide advice and support to medical directors, chief nurses, and other clinicians on medicines management.
  • Ensure compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
  • Lead improvement workstreams and contribute to clinical governance initiatives.
  • Provide training and education on medicines management to colleagues and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree (BSc/MSc Hons) and current membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council.
  • Clinical Pharmacy Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
