About the Role

This position offers a dynamic and stimulating environment, allowing you to enhance your skills across various domains.

Welcoming Asylum Seekers and Refugees: You will coordinate the arrival of new refugee families in collaboration with government agencies, managing logistical arrangements to facilitate their integration.

Integration Support: In partnership with council services and community stakeholders, you will ensure that immediate welfare, health, and educational needs are met through school enrollment, benefit applications, GP registration, and other necessary assistance post-arrival.

Utilizing your knowledge of the integration process and relevant government guidelines, you will clarify procedures and expectations during the initial months of the program to ensure compliance.

Throughout the program, you will assist individuals in managing their finances and maintaining independent accommodation, including identifying sustainable housing options as circumstances evolve.

Case Management: You will manage a caseload of families and individuals welcomed through government-funded resettlement initiatives, overseeing their integration journey across various arrival groups.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Proven knowledge of entitlements related to welfare benefits, housing, education, and employment support to empower individuals towards self-sufficiency while meeting essential living needs.

Experience in providing support to vulnerable individuals and families during transitional periods, promoting equity and fairness in service delivery, and effectively addressing the needs of sensitive and traumatized residents.

Strong networking and project management abilities to foster successful collaborations with local community organizations, council services, the Home Office, and other key partners.

Ability to uphold high-quality casework standards to document and monitor actions taken, demonstrating integration successes and effective utilization of government resources.
