Wayleave Officer Job Description

Viberoptix Ltd is a leading provider of frontline services to fibre network providers across the UK and Ireland. We are seeking a skilled Wayleave Officer to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough surveys on land sites to ensure accurate data collection
  • Examine previous records and evidence to verify data accuracy and completeness
  • Liaise with members of the public to obtain necessary wayleaves and permissions
  • Ensure all documentation is properly produced and signed off
  • Research and design effective survey processes and methods
  • Utilize equipment and tools to accurately measure land features, including longitudes and latitudes
  • Create detailed maps, sketches, and charts to support survey findings
  • Supervise and provide guidance to field staff to ensure high-quality results
  • Present survey results and findings to clients in a clear and concise manner
  • Collaborate with engineers on projects to ensure seamless execution
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in wayleaves or surveying in a similar role
  • Previous experience working in a public-facing role
  • Working knowledge of GPS and GIS systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Tech-savviness, including familiarity with CAD software
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving
  • Attention to detail
  • Great organizational and leadership skills
  • Full valid driver's license
