Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Wayleave Officer to join our team. As a Wayleave Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fibre network services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough surveys on land sites to identify potential wayleave opportunities.
  • Examine previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Liaise with members of the public and obtain necessary wayleaves to facilitate fibre network deployments.
  • Ensure the correct documentation is produced and signed off to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Research and design methods for survey processes to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
  • Use specialized equipment and tools to accurately measure land features, including longitudes and latitudes.
  • Build detailed maps, sketches, and charts to support survey findings.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to field staff to ensure high-quality results.
  • Report on survey results and present findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with engineers on projects to ensure seamless integration of wayleave services.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in wayleaves or surveying in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in a public-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of GPS and GIS systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Tech-savvy, including familiarity with CAD software.
  • Aptitude in math and problem-solving.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Great organizational and leadership skills.
  • Full valid driver's license.
