Job Title: Wayleave Officer

Job Summary:

Viberoptix Ltd is seeking a skilled Wayleave Officer to deliver frontline services to fibre network providers across the UK and Ireland. As a Wayleave Officer, you will be responsible for conducting surveys on land sites, examining previous records and evidence to ensure data accuracy, and liaising with members of the public to obtain wayleaves.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct site surveys to identify potential wayleave locations
• Examine existing records and evidence to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Liaise with landowners and other stakeholders to obtain wayleaves
• Ensure all necessary documentation is produced and signed off
• Research and design methods for survey processes to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Use GPS and GIS equipment to accurately measure land features
• Build maps, sketches, and charts to visualise survey data
• Supervise and provide guidance to field staff
• Report on survey results and present findings to clients
• Collaborate with engineers on projects to ensure smooth delivery

Requirements:

• Previous experience in wayleaves or surveying in a similar role
• Previous experience working in a public-facing role
• Working knowledge of GPS and GIS
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Tech-savvy, including familiarity with CAD software
• Aptitude in math and problem-solving
• Attention to detail
• Great organisational and leadership skills
• Full valid driver's licence
