Job Summary

Bindmans LLP, a leading multidisciplinary law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced International Children Law Solicitor to join our expanding Family Law team. As a specialist in child abduction and international private law, you will be responsible for developing and managing active caseloads, supervising junior team members, and contributing to the firm's high standards and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a diverse caseload of international children law matters, including child abduction and international private law cases.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Contribute to the development and promotion of the firm's specialist area, including the creation of marketing materials and the delivery of training sessions.
  • Work closely with the Head of the Family Law team and other senior colleagues to ensure the effective and efficient conduct of cases.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law, and apply this knowledge to provide expert advice to clients.

Requirements

  • At least six years of post-qualification experience in children law, with a strong focus on international private law and child abduction.
  • Resolution Specialist Accreditation in child abduction or Law Society Advanced Accreditation in child abduction and wardship.
  • Excellent academic background and a strong track record as a solicitor.
  • Knowledge and experience of the legal aid scheme.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
