Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Robert Walters Group - Public Sector Division. As a key member of our finance team, you will provide exceptional financial support to our External Affairs directorate, working closely with stakeholders to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the External Affairs directorate's financial activities and provide expert financial guidance to its stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with a fast-paced and progressive directorate to drive strategic initiatives and implement financial structures for new projects.
  • Partner with non-finance colleagues to manage finances for schemes and projects, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Take ownership of producing management accounts for the EA directorate, conducting thorough variance analysis, and ensuring high accuracy of income.
  • Provide regular communication with stakeholders to prevent delays to pilot schemes and projects, and support the generation and dissemination of management accounts.
  • Support bids and tenders for new projects, including staffing costs and TUPE.
  • Lead the budget and forecasting cycles within the EA team, conducting regular meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Work with Heads of Areas to ensure reliable income tracking practices are in place.
  • Support the Fund-raising team in developing practices within the CRM system for clear visibility of income.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position, offering a competitive salary of £43,000 to £48,000 depending on experience and geographical location. You will work from home with occasional travel to Birmingham, Nottingham, or London. A Part-Qualified CIPFA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, or equivalent experience, is required. Candidates with experience working in charity, not-for-profit, public sector, education, housing, or civil service are preferred.
