About the Role

NFU Mutual is seeking a highly skilled IT Software Asset Manager to play a pivotal role in our large multi-year transformation programme. As a key member of our Software Asset Management centre of excellence, you will be responsible for ensuring the organisation's software assets are optimised, compliant, and aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimise software assets across the organisation, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement effective asset management strategies to drive efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals in software asset management, providing guidance and support to ensure successful implementation of asset management practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure software asset management is integrated into business operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors, negotiating licensing agreements and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.

Requirements

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in software asset management and compliance.
  • Deep knowledge of software licensing models, including IBM, Microsoft, and SAP.
  • Experience in interpreting licensing terms and conditions, with a strong understanding of legal matters related to licensing.
  • Proven track record in dealing with large vendor audits and complex licence issues.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
