Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement professional to join our team at TQR. As an Indirect Contracts Specialist, you will play a crucial role in minimizing indirect spend, managing inventory, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure best value for money and service levels.
  • Identify cost savings opportunities on indirect expenditure and lead projects from start to finish.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key indirect suppliers.
  • Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers and dual sourcing opportunities.
  • Reduce indirect inventory and implement effective actions to achieve these reductions.
  • Ensure compliance to sourcing and contracting policies, procedures, risk management programs, and ethics.
  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, performance, and savings achieved.
  • Support the Direct Purchasing Manager and Head of Purchasing with augmentation of Purchasing strategy and deployment.

Requirements:

  • Proven Indirect Procurement experience gained from within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business Management, Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Law, or a similar related discipline.
  • CIPS level 5 or higher.
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating contracts.
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional projects.
  • Good business acumen.
  • Strong understanding of UK contract law and procurement regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of ABC XYZ classification and real-world management of optimization strategies.
  • Capital expenditure budgeting and approval procedures.
  • Assertive with good communication skills in both written and verbal form.
  • Able to develop strong effective relationships internally and outside of the organization coupled with excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excel and SAP proficiency.
  • Proactive coupled with an analytical mindset.
  • Self-starter, team player.
  • Organized with a focused attention to detail.
