Chef Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for students, staff, and commercial events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in meal preparation and presentation, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Prepare, cook, and serve food as delegated, adhering to agreed standards and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the catering team to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Develop and implement innovative and creative menu ideas.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, maintaining accurate records and adhering to company procedures.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure effective food allergen procedures are in place.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Proven experience in a similar culinary role, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality food and service.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for innovation and creativity in food preparation and presentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, with a strong understanding of company procedures.
