Medical Research Translation Specialist, English to Japanese

This position is integral to M3EU, a prominent fieldwork organization specializing in data collection for the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. We focus on both qualitative and quantitative market research within the industry.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct quality assurance and bilingual review of English medical market research documents translated into Japanese by external vendors.
- Translate and perform post-editing on medical market research content from English to Japanese, as well as translating responses to open-ended questions from Japanese back into English.
- Revise previously translated materials in Japanese to ensure alignment with the most current English versions.
- Evaluate and approve new Japanese vendors.
- Maintain and update relevant translation memories.
- Support the M3EU Translation Department in delivering top-tier English-Japanese translations across all divisions.
Educational Background:
- Master's Degree in English-Japanese Translation.
- Additional training in medical translation is advantageous.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in translating medical market research from English to Japanese.
Skills and Competencies:
- Familiarity with medical market research terminology.
- Native proficiency in Japanese.
- Understanding of Japanese culture and nuances.
- Proficient in Trados Studio or another recognized CAT tool (e.g., MemoQ).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
