Senior Educational Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to take on the role of Clinical Lead and Manager of our Early Years Psychology-Informed Parenting Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the service, providing clinical supervision and training to staff, and contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based parenting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and lead an early years psychology-informed parenting service for parents of babies, infants, and early years children across Cardiff.
- Train staff, supervise, monitor, and evaluate interventions by the Parents Plus team based on evidence-based psychological approaches and theories.
- Contribute to evidence-based delivery through research and training for Early Help.
- Contribute to improving outcomes for early years infants and children by promoting the confidence and capacity of parents to impact their child's early development, wellbeing, emotional, and mental health.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of local and national parenting policies, procedures, and inter-agency working, and reflect these in the services offered through Early Help.
- Detailed knowledge of psychological theory and experience of applying theory to casework.
- Portfolio of recent relevant continuing professional development.
- Leadership and management experience.
- Experience of direct work with parents.
