Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Wayman Learning Trust. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse needs and helping them achieve their academic potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality education, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with diverse learning styles, including those with English as an additional language.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans.
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and making recommendations for future support.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of supporting students with diverse needs, including those with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and emotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
  • A clear DBS check and the legal right to work in the UK.
