Infrastructure Technician, Competitive Salary

Dalkia Engineering is seeking an Infrastructure Technician to become part of our dedicated on-site team. This role involves working closely with a small group of local professionals responsible for the upkeep of assets related to the trunk road network in North and Mid Wales. The team oversees the maintenance and emergency response for various infrastructure elements, including signage, communication systems, surveillance, and tunnel operations.

The position is based in the North Wales region, where the Infrastructure Technician will collaborate with the trunk road agency to ensure optimal functionality and safety of the roadways.

Primary Responsibilities

Update and maintain the asset inventory within the Welsh Government's Electrical Asset Management System (LMS). This includes: Bulk uploading of electrical and structural documentation, utilizing Query Builder to generate reports for identifying assets with incomplete or erroneous information, and updating records for individual assets. Additionally, provide support in managing PowerBI applications related to defects and minor works. Provide administrative support, which encompasses: Compiling maintenance work reports, documenting meeting minutes, and assisting the team in ensuring that asset and project documentation is systematically stored in the appropriate digital locations. Collaborate with the LMS lead to assist in the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the system. Support street lighting and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) managers with various administrative tasks as needed.

Essential Skills

Proficient in IT systems, including Excel and Word. Awareness of health and safety regulations. Possession of a valid driving license. Knowledge of the Welsh language is desirable.
