Position: Trainee Educational Support Assistant

Salary: £425 - £450 per day (Salary varies based on experience, training, or qualifications)

We are excited to present our National Educational Support Assistant Programme in collaboration with local schools, designed to assist individuals who are eager to pursue a career in educational support.

Programme Overview:

In alignment with our client schools, we provide successful Trainee Educational Support Assistants with exceptional training and compensated practical experience.

Following a successful interview and the completion of necessary suitability, safeguarding, and identity checks, we strive to secure a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills.

Before starting your placement, you will participate in a thorough training program led by Vision for Education and school leaders, equipping you with the essential skills required for the role of an Educational Support Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Educational Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the daily operations of educational institutions.

  • Collaborate with the classroom teacher to manage student behavior.
  • Provide support with interventions and offer additional assistance to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist in documenting and reporting student progress and behavior, ensuring that students are making significant advancements in their learning.

Requirements for the National Educational Support Assistant Programme include:
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and young individuals.
  • Passion and commitment to improving outcomes for children and young individuals.
  • Understanding of the critical importance of ensuring the safety of children and young individuals.
  • Capacity to articulate motivations for pursuing a career in education during the interview process, demonstrating an understanding of the Educational Support Assistant role and its significance within the educational community.
  • Commitment to completing necessary training and engaging in ongoing professional development.
  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check and enrollment in the Update Service.
