Are you a skilled Surgical Nurse with experience in delivering high-quality patient care? Would you like to work in a modern and supportive environment that promotes staff development and patient satisfaction?

Due to the launch of new services and an increase in patient activity, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Surgical Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatient Ward team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering excellent care throughout the patient journey from admission to discharge.

This role is ideally suited to a registered nurse who is completely patient-focused, with post-registration experience in a clinical setting and a desire to progress their career in an environment that promotes staff development and continuous learning.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, and deliver care based on individual patient needs.
  • Demonstrate good clinical practice and be accountable for your own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct.
  • Support team members and act as a role model, promoting a learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care.
  • Ensure that your own professional development is maintained and enhanced.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Be a qualified Adult Nurse with current NMC PIN.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Have a postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty.

Experience

  • Have post-registration clinical experience.
  • Have knowledge of clinical governance and its application.
  • Be able to evidence continuous professional development and its application.

Desirable Experience

  • Have experience in Surgical Nursing.
