Registered Nurse – Pickwick Ward | Maidstone

Are you a Registered Nurse with experience in surgical nursing? Would you like more time to care for your patients with an average patient ratio of 1-5?

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Inpatients Team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will manage a busy surgical list for the whole patient journey from admission to discharge.

This role is ideally suited to an NMC registered nurse with post-registration clinical experience who is passionate about delivering healthcare at its very best.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Assess, plan and deliver care, based on individual patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care.
  • Demonstrate good clinical practice at all times and be accountable for own actions, working within the NMC code of conduct.

Person Specification
  • Be a qualified Adult Nurse with current NMC PIN
  • Hold a Post Graduate course in the relevant specialty
Experience
  • Post-registration clinical experience
  • Confidence in building relationships with the ability to easily engage with others including consultants, colleagues, and patients.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and its application
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in medicine, surgery, orthopaedic, or cardiac nursing
  • Knowledge of BADS (British Association of Day Surgery)
