Job Summary
Hays Accountancy and Finance is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Manager to join a leading global retail chain. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance and support to the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a direct report and provide guidance and support to their development and learning
- Oversee supplier income reporting, month-end accounting, forecasting, and budgeting
- Review and evaluate vendor agreements and accounting treatments
- Provide financial analysis and insights to inform business decisions
- Develop and maintain sales budgets and forecasts
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Examine variances in sales and profitability at store and product category levels
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of category margins through volume, rate, and mix analysis
- Evaluate the success of ongoing trials and projects, and propose recommendations
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with commercial industry experience, preferably in retail or FMCG. You will possess strong analytical skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to work with various stakeholders.
