Job Description

Job Title: Podiatrist Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist Specialist to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Podiatrist Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist podiatry care to patients with complex wounds and care-planning needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist podiatry care to patients with complex wounds and care-planning needs
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
  • Supervise junior members of staff and provide guidance and support as needed
  • Participate in research activities and contribute to the development of new treatments and protocols
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines

Requirements:

  • BSc Podiatry degree with local anaesthesia/POMs certificate
  • Driving Licence
  • HCPC Registered
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of confidentiality issues
  • Co-ordination and sensory skills for use of fine tools, scalpels, nail surgery and manufacture of complex orthoses
