Position Overview:
As a Junior Actuarial Analyst, you will play a vital role in our Actuarial Directorate, focusing on the development and implementation of sophisticated models.

About Us:
We are the Pension Protection Fund, dedicated to safeguarding the financial security of individuals enrolled in defined benefit pension schemes across the UK. Our mission is to provide support when these schemes encounter difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and refinement of actuarial models, including:
1. Designing and coding models
2. Conducting thorough testing of code
3. Operating models and verifying results
4. Analyzing outputs for accuracy and relevance

- Gain insights into the stochastic models utilized for assessing the financial stability of the organization, specifically the Long-Term Risk Model (LTRM) and the Economic Scenario Model (ESM).

Candidate Profile:
We seek individuals with:
- Relevant experience in actuarial modeling, preferably within the insurance or consultancy sectors.
- A commitment to pursuing actuarial qualifications or having already achieved full qualification.
- Strong numerical and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, R, or Tyche.
- Familiarity with pertinent actuarial specialties.
