Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
1. Coordinating and overseeing strategic and daily procurement activities to guarantee that Saab Seaeye maintains exceptional supplier quality and delivery capabilities at optimal costs.
2. Establishing strategic partnerships with key suppliers to enhance overall supply chain performance in alignment with company goals.
3. Actively managing supplier performance and continuously collaborating with existing or new suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives, thereby increasing overall business profitability.
4. Managing comprehensive supply chain business risk plans.
5. Negotiating long-term purchase agreements with key suppliers to ensure the fulfillment of critical customer contracts.

Supplier Relationship Management
Building robust supplier relationships is essential, particularly when working with new suppliers in high-value, high-risk environments. You will implement contracts as necessary and work closely with the Quality and Material Planning teams to drive business improvements.

Collaboration and Team Management
Collaboration with other Saab supply chain functions, both in the UK and globally, is crucial for developing efficiency opportunities and leveraging synergies. You will manage a team responsible for production material procurement, strategic supply chain management, and the procurement of new products.

Staff Development
Assessing, identifying, and monitoring staff skills and training needs is vital to prevent skill shortages within the business. You will also evaluate workloads, efficiency, and resource levels, ensuring effective management of staff resources and reporting any potential shortfalls.

Time Management
Maintaining effective time management practices is essential to minimize wasted time and maximize productivity and effectiveness.
