Accounts Assistant

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our finance department, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.
Key Responsibilities- Process and reconcile supplier statements, resolving any outstanding queries
- Prepare payment runs and maintain accurate records
- Update and maintain Excel spreadsheets, including purchase ledgers and sales ledgers
- Match invoices to corresponding purchase orders and delivery notes, identifying and resolving any discrepancies
- Produce sales invoices using Easy Quote knowledge (full training will be provided if necessary)
- Process internal stock transfers and maintain accurate records
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any outstanding queries
- Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Perform general accounts-related administrative duties
- Experience in Sage Line 50 is preferred
- Essential experience in using MS Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use own initiative and work in a busy accounts office
- A salary of up to £16, working 24 hours per week
- After 1 full year of service, a sick pay scheme of 2 weeks at full pay and 2 weeks at half pay
- A workplace pension, with the company contributing 3%
