My client are a leading machine plant and equipment hire company specialising in sectors such as construction and utilities. They have expanded significantly, now operating over 2,500 machines across multiple UK depots. They provide a range of modern, high-quality equipment prioritising values like teamwork, trust, customer commitment, and sustainability. They are a £60m Turnover business with over 100 current staff.
Due to sustained growth, they are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team.
Duties to include:
Processing and recording supplier invoices accurately.
Matching invoices with purchase orders and delivery notes.
Resolving discrepancies with suppliers and internal departments.
Managing supplier accounts and ensuring they are up-to-date.
Preparing and processing payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, cheques).
Reconciling supplier statements to the purchase ledger.
Maintaining accurate financial records and filing documents.
Handling queries from suppliers regarding payments and invoices.
Ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
Assisting with month-end and year-end financial closing processes.
Supporting the finance team with ad hoc tasks and reporting.
Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
